This is where the bathroom is converted for showering by sloping the floor and covering the floor with slip-resistant waterproof flooring. The walls are also waterproofed, usually by applying tiles. A wet room requires no steps or ramps and is one of the easiest methods of showering.

Due to the fact that wet room shave not steps they are ideal for wheelchair users, or those with limited mobility. This is probably one of the most costly forms of mobility showers as the whole bathroom will need to be converted. Rather than simply replacing an existing bath with an level access shower tray.
